So quick!

The time has been passing pretty quick this month. We spent the first two weeks up in southern oregon! It was wonderful. I loved the break from the hot-as-ever Las Vegas. The children had a wonderful time visiting with their Grandma Vicki, Nano & Pa, their cousins Krystal and Daisy and of course Stefanie and Elicia and Danny & Jeb. We were also fortunate enough to meet up with my Aunt Janet, Uncle Larry and two of my cousins Mark and Jared as they passed through southern oregon on their vacation. It was a great time for all.

While in Oregon we went rafting one day. It was the first time down the river for the children loved it... well Jordan did for sure... Jade slept for 1/2 of it! She was on a drift boat instead of the raft and I think she got really comfortable in Grandma's arms. I'll have some photos of the trip once I get the waterproof cameras devolped.

Speaking of Photos... we took A LOT! I made sure to take some photos of the things the kids enjoyed doing the most. Jordan and Jade spent a lot of time at Grandma Vicki's house. Jordan loved her swingset and pool and Jade was really into eating fresh fruit and veggies out of her garden and she liked the pool too. Both kids found all the 'stuffed' animals at grandma's house VERY interesting (see the photo of the Elk head)

Nano and Pa were extremely gracious hosts. They spoiled us with wonderfully cooked meals and delicous desserts and pampered us tons! We are so grateful for their hospitality. Jade caught on to the fresh garden at their home as well and would go out in the mornings and pick the ripest tomatoes to eat. One morning she had an entire bowled filled to the brim and she ate every last one! Jordan liked to sit as still as he could so their cat Baby would come to him. He loved that the cat liked him. He also liked the bubble bath and special tooth paste that Nano provided and then told him he could bring it home.

Jeramis and I were fortunate to get many nights out. (Thanks Nano&Pa and Vicki!!) We caught up with old friends, went to his high school reunion and a movie as well. It was very nice to have some time together.

On the way home (we drove both ways) we stopped in Sacramento to visit my grandmother. Jade finally got to meet her Great Grandma. It was a brief, but nice, visit. We were only able to take her out for supper and visit a short bit before we had to continue on our trip home. But the time was well spent and greatly enjoyed. It is something the children will not forget.

The following Monday after we returned my friend from Edwards AFB came out to visit us. Myrna and her daughter Kristy (who is just a few months younger than Jade) spent the past week with us. It was a great adventure and I really enjoyed having time to catch up with Myrna face to face! The kids got along well also which made the visit even nicer. Another benefit to having Myrna visit was her willingness to help me get my business website started. So there is no longer a "underconstruction" page! Instead there is a home page that will soon be updated with more information and other pages to link to. I'm excited that this is finally getting together. (www.memorypixels.com)

So today I was pretty busy. I got the house back in order, caught up on laundry, re organized the children's toys and rooms and feel like I'm back on the bandwagon... so to speak. Realistically I know that tomorrow the children will topple the blocks, pour out the toys and the day will start anew with a bunch of great things to do! Looking forward to more updates so please check back regularly!

Hugs and Kisses!
