Another Crazy Week

Time is fast fleeting, or so I'm told. Each week I find myself wondering HOW it became Saturday so fast! Life is just out of hand some weeks. This week was definately one of those weeks. Between appointments, meetings and the children it seemed like I barely had time to breathe, let alone think a few days ahead.

I promise to update this blog tomorrow with some current photos! I just need to take a few more shots on my camera so that my disk is full!

The children are definately busy bees. Jade has found every avenue possible this week to get herself into mischeif! Lets see if you can guess WHAT she's done.
1. Jade has
a) wet the floor with urine
b) wet the floor with milk
c) wet the floor with water
d) rubbed toothpaste into the carpet
e) all of the above

2. Jade has
a) openned up 2 seperate boxes of cereal
b) openned up 1 box of crackers and a bag of pretzels
c) taken one bite of each cookie that was baked
d) removed the "pork chops" (a.k.a. chop sticks) from the drawer and used them to spear melon peices.
e) all of the above

3. Jade has
a)woken up too early for any normal body
b)stayed up too late for any normal body
c)fought to keep books in her bed, hiding them under her covers
d)woken me up in the middle of the night because she saw a monster
e)all of the above

4. Jade has
a) fallen asleep AS I was making dinner
b) fallen asleep in my arms while reading together
c) fallen asleep in the middle of the floor while playing with board games (that she wasn't SUPOSE to be using!)
d) fallen asleep with popcorn in her mouth
e) all of the above

5. Jade has
a) been cute
b) been silly
c) been charming
d) been loveable
e) all of the above

Okay... if you answered E on every question you get 100%. If you answered any other letter you will still get partial points since everything listed is SOMETHING she's done AT LEAST once (if not more) this week!

Jordan on the other had has been a challenge in an entirely different way. He is definately enjoying school but every morning he tells me he doesn't want to go. When I do finally get him to school he is so darling as he smoothers me and Jade with kisses. Then he will slowly meander from the car to the playground - all the while throwing "I LOVE YOU" signs back my direction... At the end of the day, when I pick him up, he's had a wonderful day at school. getting him motivated to go is defiantely the hardest part. I think a big part of it is because he doesn't get much time to play at home now. He tells me, often, that he misses his toys and his games. I find that amusing since all summer he was "SO BORED" stuck here at home. He often will come home wanting to play but he has homework everyday that is assigned by the teacher and then additional homework that I assign to help him retain at least SOME of his Japanese.

He is still enjoying Kung Fu and has asked me to start him on piano again. He's definately fun. I also love that he is finally back into reading again. When we moved here he really wasn't being challenged enough at school to read. I like that his teacher is encouraging it this year. So far, so good. He wants to earn his reading metal at the end of the year and I think that is helping him on his goal. He's also currently working on selling items for a fund raiser at school. So far he's sold a few items and has received some buddy braclets as rewards. I like that he is proud of himself. It is nice to see him with a healthy self-esteem. I only hope we can continue to nurture it as he grows!

As for me and my sweetheart... well we're good as usual. Busy busy, but good. I'm enjoying taking martial arts with him. It is fun to have a few nights a week that we are doing something together and I really am amazed with his skills not only as a teacher but in his art form as well.

I best leave more to talk about when I post the photos tomorrow!
Hugs and Kisses
