October October

As if Septemeber didn't roll by quick enough. Here it is, October 2005. Wow. Where does time go? I can't believe it.

This month is going to be insane. We have so many people visiting in a short period of time as well as a few adventures of our own planned. I can't seem to think of something I'd prefer to do more though. I like company, especially good company!

This month is also the end of Jordan's first session in school as he'll go on track break soon. I'm not sure how 'excited' I am about this... I feel a bit dubious with the whole idea of having him home for a month at a time. Thankfully in November we'll have more company come out for the holidays and we have Jade's birthday to look forward to.... but an entire month!? yikes.... batten down the hatches... this will be a long haul for me!

We went to a birthday party here and they had all these jumpy/slidy blow up thingies (like I can remember what they are really called LOL) The kids loved them!

Jordan found a way to bounce himself down the largest slide, which, of course, brought on fits of laughter.

Jade couldn't stay away from the fun and so she too joined in and found a few interesting ways to get herself some 'air' haha.

I climbed up the slide several times just to get some good photos. It was funny watching all these kids go crazy on this HUGE slide. It was a really fun party and the kids will never forget it... they were invited to the same type of party a few weeks later and they hounded me hours before the party was to start... they couldn't wait to leave!

I've started volunteering 1 afternoon a week in his classroom. Jade accompanies me. It works out well. She loves the opportunity of being in Jordan's class and the teacher is patient and kind with her. Jordan likes having us come in. It is special for him but more for me as I didn't get to volunteer much in his Kindergarten classes. Jade is funny to watch while we're there and she is definately smart as a whip. I think she'll be more than ready for school when it comes. Her newest favorite thing is puzzles and she is quite good at them. She can put together a puzzle of the united states as well as other smaller ones. She's constantly dumping them out and putting them back together again, occassionally asking for help when she's just too annoyed to try. Most of the time she is very proud of herself.

Jordan is getting really good with his math and spelling. He also has his first, official, loose tooth. Although I think it will be a few weeks before he looses it, it definately wiggles. He's excited. We are on 1 week and 2 days of wiggling... the tooth next to his loose one is also starting to wiggle some too. He thinks he might loose them both at the same time. I think it is fun to see his excitment over this 'milestone' - if you will - this part of growing up in his life.

In other news... well i guess there isn't other news haha. We're all great. Jade can draw 'people' now. They are rather good for a nearly 3 year old. She has started making some 'monsters' as well now. She also draws rolley pollies.

Needless to say my life is definately not boring. These two are keeping me busy busy and when they aren't... well, lets just say I have a few other projects to keep my interest!

More updates soon!
love ya all
