February 2006
So, as usual, another month is whizzing past.
I love how busy the children keep us but there are times when I wish we were a bit slower... had more time to smell the roses, ya know?

Jordan's Science Fair Project
Jordan had his first science fair this month. As you see in the posts below we did some research for it and the above photo is his finished product. Unfortuately, we didn't know (until the night of the science fair) that he wasn't going to be judged on his project. Only the 4th and 5th graders were judged because it was mandatory for them! BOO. He really was looking forward to talking about all the interesting stuff he learned. He did get a button for participating in the science fair but most importantly he has fed yet another string of his infactuation with the ocean.
We also had a wonderful visit with our friend, Aubree. We first met Aubree during our tour in Japan. She has since, like us, returned to the US and was out here visiting family. We were lucky to meet them all. Her dad and Marie are both really great and were quite nice to let us come out and see the horses at their home. Jordan and Jade got a real kick out of watching the horses run and feeding them carrots.

It was so nice to catch up, face to face, with Aubree. We look forward to more visits from her :) and hopefully from her hubby too!
Jordan also earned his blue belt in Kung Fu. He's loving his classes and really has been focusing on his studies. He has moved up to the "big kids" classes and is learning forms (kata's) and will be working toward more fluid and well developed moves. We are so proud of him for his dedication and his excitment to learn. He's such a great kid.

Jordan with his blue belt and certificate
Jade has been quite a delight this month. Despite a few spats of Sassiness she is turing into a real charmer. We have been having regular tea parties as well as princess classes. She likes to play with barbies and my little ponies (which she calls 'five little ponies') She's a hoot. I don't have any good photos of her yet this month but I'm sure in the next update I'll add some on here!
Enjoy
