Finally an Update! hehe

Okay, Okay! I hear ya and here I am updating! I know, I know... what too k so long!?

Moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I think that should be considered a dirty word!) As much as I love to move I also hate it. I 'thought' I had prepared well enough for it but the truth is that moving is something you simply can't be prepared enough for (in my opinion at least!) This is a photograph of our the garage at our new home... where we placed as much as we could so we would be able to walk through the house.

While I wasn't thrilled with the idea of the entire 'moving' process... I am thrilled with the change in homes as this new house is definately nicer and better equipt for us! So in that regard it will pay off... but since it is now mid-May and we aren't quite finished unpacking I keep hoping for the end of the boxes!

So, what did we do between the end of March and now?


Good-Bye Old House

Jordan had some fun with St. Patrick's day. He had me put his hair into little spiked pony tails with green rubber bands. We had Green Eggs and Ham for breakfast and pinched people that weren't wearing green. March ended with the move and of course Jordan started school back up. We were able to get his room together before he had to start school so he wasn't sleeping on the floor amid boxes. He was glad, I think. Jade on the other hand had a room filled with boxes and a few toys available and a matress on the floor. (Jordan's bunk bed didn't fit into the new room so we will have to sell it! Jade's bed (which was at one point Jordan's bed in Japan) has again become his and Jade will be upgrading to a daybed in the next week or so.

April was busy. Unpacking was the main highlight of the month... box after box, room after room. By the end of April there was only about 1/4 of the house left to unpack /find places for. We still haven't hung photos or anything but we are close. Jordan also had Spring Break during which time we went back to see the Dolphins and some Tigers/Lions out here. The dolphins were for Jordan and the Tigers and Lions were for Jade. She's really into Tigers right now! That was a fun day for me and the kids. We also did some special outings to fill in the days. The kids had a great time together and they just LOVE being outside now... another PERK of the move! They ride their bikes / big wheels around the back patio and play 'lava monsters' on the stepping stones in the garden. We had a wonderful Easter and I took many photos.... only to have the disk corrupt on me... It was so sad to loose all those photos! The kids were so fun. They loved to do the Easter Egg hunt and they would make their own when Jeramis and I were 'over'done with it. It was fun to watch them and wish I had some photos of it to share!

May has been a regular month. I'm still volunteering in Jordan's class at school once a week. We love going. Jade sits a desk like a proper student and 'practices' her writing and drawing. She likes school so much... I have a feeling we'll have to put her in preschool this autumn. She's just too excited to be 'in school' like Jordan! heh.

I'm sure I'll have more to update you with before the month is over. My hope is to get back to a once a week posting :) So please come back and check in... I'll likely send out an email reminder about the blog later this month since there's been such a space in the posts :)
