Covering the Summer - June
That's right. I'm back to post and update with PICTURES this time! :) Lots and lots of pictures.
Here are pictures of the end of May and June :)
Back in Japan I took some pictures of Jade playing with the sand and rocks at the beach. Her chubby little hands were so cute. I created a digital layout that I liked but recently I re-invented it with some hybrid scrapbooking style. I really like it now!
At the end of May we had a nice visit from Christy Nelson. It was great to have her out to the house to visit and have dinner. She was SO fun to meet. Up to this point I'd only had the opportunity to chat with her via blogs and email. A month earlier my cousin Carl, her husband, was out visiting :) Nice to see them both.
June = Jordan's birthday. I can't believe he's 8. He's such a sweetie. I love him to bits. Jade, of course, wanted to have her picture with him. They are so funny together.
He had school on his birthday so we took cupcakes to his class and celebrated at home.
His birthday party was a Heroscape Party. He asked me to make him a cake... that was an interesting adventure since, of course, Heroscape isn't a 'main' party theme out there. So we improvised with some figures.
The best part about Jordan's 8th birthday was his decision to get baptized. Jeramis was able to do the honor. It was really great. My parents came out for it too and Dad (Grandpa Kester) was able to confirm Jordan a member of the Church. It was such a great weekend for us. Jordan was so excited to be baptized.
He and I have always had a close bond. I'm glad that I am able to share moments like this with him.
That's it for June. I'll be back soon to update July and August! :)
