January 2009, thus far
So I'm trying to keep my promise :) I'm back with another quick update.
This month is doing a snail-crawl for me as I await the arrival of the baby. I've been anxiously getting ready with lots of cleaning and rearranging and more cleaning... LOL I'm totally nesting, it's awful. It's been good because projects are slowly getting finished but bad because I forget to do things that I need to do because all my brain thinks about is 'baby baby baby'
The kids are really excited. They keep asking when he'll be here. "Maybe he'll come today?" Is something I hear a lot from them. I'd like that. Today would be good. Tomorrow would be fine too, just soon.
I had an appointment yesterday and they said that everything is looking good. He's head down and ready to come and my body is starting to prep for it... (sorry - not posting details) I m glad to hear that but wish that they'd say, "go to L&D!" LOL. I'm so impatient.
The kids have been enjoying feeling him kick and move. They like to put their hands on my stomach and talk to him. They will tell him things about their day and that they can't wait to play with him. It is really cute. Jade likes to cuddle with me and she thinks it is funny when the baby kicks her in the side. She giggles so much when he moves that it is infectious. I've popped out a lot now and from the side it looks like a watermelon is in my stomach. From behind I don't look that pregnant really but I feel like I'm Humpty Dumpty. haha.
We did a few photos of the kids and the belly. (and yes, Jordan really is almost as tall as me!)
Here they are:
I had a baby shower this month given by two ladies from church. It was really nice. We got some wonderful things for the baby.
Jeramis been busy with work but we're lucky and he'll be able to have time off when the baby arrives.
Jordan and Jade are back in school and they are doing well. It's been cold here so we've done lots of bundling and after-school Hot Cocoa days. We have our fireplace up and running and have enjoyed having a warm fire to relax near. Jordan was able to participate in a play that was presented to the Town Council here. It was to show the appreciation of the school for all the council does to provide awards for the students. He got to be his principal, which he thought was fun! He did a great job.
We are hunkering down for the inauguration out here. There are so many people expected in this area that we won't be doing any traveling unless the baby decides to come early. The kids and Jeramis get Monday and Tuesday off so we have a 4 day weekend. Fun!
I'll be back again soon to post... hopefully with news of the arrival of our little bundle of joy!
TTFN!
